Light Angel

“UV light method for sanitizing and disinfecting hands.”

Light Angel is a provisional patented system for sanitizing and disinfecting hands using Ultraviolet (UV) light. This hands free system has a UV light head mounted in an enclosed unit. A UV light source is mounted in the light head and radiates visible light. The unit allows the user to place hands under the Light Angel, expose all areas of the bare hands for 30 seconds to sanitize and sterilize. Once complete, remove hands from under the light.

Wall Mounted-UV Sanitizer Unit

The wall mounted UV sanitizer unit system will safely sanitize and disinfect hands from harmful bacteria, germs, and pathogens without the use of soap, water, or liquid disinfectant sanitizers. The system has optical sensing with an on and off circuitry. The shield can be used to protect and shield eyes from the visible light. The UV light can be triggered on with an optional contact or motion sensor. The sensor can be set to time out if there is no motion or contact following a delay period. The unit allows the user to place hands under the Light Angel, expose all areas of the bare hands for 30 seconds to sanitize and sterilize. Once complete, remove hands from under the light.

Hand Held-UV Sanitizer

The hand-held UV sanitizer unit system will safely sanitize and disinfect hands. This pocket size unit will sterilize harmful bacteria, germs, and pathogens without the use of soap, water, or liquid disinfectant sanitizers. The system has optical sensing with an on and off circuitry.  The sensor can be set to time out if there is no motion or contact following a delay period.

Introducing the Light Angel

Light Angel is a provisional patented Ultraviolet (UV) light technology used to Sanitize and Disinfect hands

Light Angel is a Virus and Germ Destroyer that combats the pandemics of today and tomorrow

•Portable, fast, and effective

•Ideal for homes, businesses, and institutions caring for the most vulnerable of the human population

Ease of Use

•Insert the hands behind the eye shielding glass

•Expose all areas of bare hands for 15 to 20 seconds

•Remove hands from under the light

•Safely Sanitize and Disinfect your hands

How It Works

•Optical Sensing On/Off Circuitry

•The Light Angel can be triggered on with an optional contact sensor

•The sensor can be set to time out if there is no contact following a delay period

The Need

Social distancing alone will not prevent the spread of viruses like COVID-19.

The hands (due in part to constant contact with the face) carry the greatest risk of contact spreading of viruses and bacteria.

The need is to provide an effective, easy to use, and cost-effective way to sanitize hands for homes and businesses.

Can help to integrate people back into school, workplace, and public gatherings.

Light Angel is a Hand free solution to sanitize and disinfect. You still have to touch most liquid hand sanitizers, which can transfer germs to the touch.

Potential for vaccine success is limited due to timeline for trials to be  executed, availability for mass distribution, and ability to prevent all potential strands of the virus.

Did You Know Facts

Surface wipes and sprays are only effective if the object or surface remains visibly wet for a specified period of time.  With a UV-C light at a 6 inch distance, up to 99% of microorganisms can be killed within a few seconds.  Rooms can be treated within 30-60 minutes, depending on size.  And because most UVC bulbs claim to have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, you can actually save money over the cost you might spend replenishing wipes and sprays.

With UV-C you can sanitize masks, cell phones, countertops, toothbrushes, keyboards, shoes and pretty much any object or surface.  You can even sanitize the air in a room or the entire room itself.  There are some basic precautions necessary when using a UV-C light, but the benefits of using a light versus sanitizing products definitely is worth the effort.

How Does UV-C Light Work For Disinfection?

Wavelengths between 185-254 nanometers are considered germicidal because they have the shortest wavelength, highest energy, and can kill pathogenic microorganisms in the air and on surfaces. This makes the UV-C spectrum the most efficient for killing viruses and bacteria.

UV-C lamps can kill up to 99.9% of most viruses, bacteria, yeasts, and mold spores and help prevent future mold growth.  Definitely an option if you have mold due to water damage in your home.

How effective the UV-C light is, is determined by how much time and how close objects/surfaces are to the light. Objects that are closest to the light receive the highest intensity and require shorter period of time to kill microorganisms. Objects that are further away from the light can still be disinfected if their exposure time is increased.

What Are The Advantages Of Sterilizing Using UV-C Light?

  • Disinfecting with UV-C light eliminates the need to use harsh or potentially toxic chemicals, and no chemical residues are left behind.

  • UV-C light can sanitize both the air and surfaces.

  • Entire rooms can be disinfected; bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, laundry rooms and hampers, etc.

  • Items that might be damaged using traditional disinfectants can be sterilized using UV-C; facial masks, mail, delivered packages, mobile phones, tablets, keyboards, electric shavers, etc.

  • In killing bacteria, you can also eliminate the odors they cause; laundry hampers, refrigerators, freezers, shoes.

  • At a distance of 6 inches away from a surface, UV-C light can kill the average bacteria within 10 seconds.

  • UV-C light can sanitize hard-to-clean nooks and crannies that might be missed with traditional cleaning methods.

  • UV-C light is effective against “superbugs” that are resistant to antibiotics.

  • It can inactivate 90% of spore-forming bacteria within 40 seconds.

  • UV-C lights can be reused as often as needed and most bulbs last up to two years whereas traditional disinfecting products need to be replenished.
